How are you feeling after TPSP Training?
The training can be a bit overwhelming and it takes time to decompress some of the ideas and inspirations that came to you during the training session. How are you feeling now? Do you have any lingering questions? Now that you have had time to think, is there more information you need?

I love the idea of using the tasks in my classroom for my gifted kids and this will also allow me to make use of the icons which are a goal of mine. My worry is that my students won't be ready for phase 2 when the time comes. Also, where will I find the time to allow them to work on it. I don't want it to be one more thing they do at home.
you might consider having your students that are ready for the phase 2 product work on it during the time that they have compacted out of other content in your classroom. as we all know one appropriate way of differentiating is to assess and compact for students who show mastery. if a student has shown mastery in the content being covered in class, tpsp is the perfect way to use that time. this would alleviate the idea of working on phase 2 at home. just an idea. does anyone else see a way to address this concern?
I have that same worry. What happens if they are not ready? Although I do believe my students would be very excited and motivate themselves, they may not be ready when it comes to research skills.
in regards to the previous post about your students not being ready for research, you raise a very valid point. it is possible to go through phase 1 and have a good foundational understanding of the topic, but still lack the necessary research skills to complete phase 2. first of all, you know your students best, so it might behoove you to add in some research skills work during phase 1, that would give them the edge they need. another idea would be to plan some research skill time when phase 1 is finished but before your students are really rolling on phase 2. anyone else have ideas that would help address this issue? thanks for contributing.
